AWE members are specialist educators who come from all over the UK (we have an educator in every county in the UK) and, increasingly around the world, who have experience either in the wine trade or in education or both. A number of members are active in the media a wine writers or radio/TV presenters. On average our educators have over 20 years experience.

Our members must have obtained the WSET Diploma or an equivalent qualification, and some are Masters of Wine. All members are experienced in presenting on wine in general, or on their specialist subjects, and have been assessed on these specific skills. The AWE insists that all members present wines objectively.
Our ethos is:
- To inform, educate and inspire the general public on the subject of wines
- To provide easy access to well qualified, objective wine presenters
- To maintain and improve standards of wine education
- To establish a collective profile as a recognised professional group

Linda Simpson Trips & Visits My role is to research, source and implement visits and trips for AWE members which includes day visits and overseas trips to wine regions to expand and update our knowledge and experience. |
