Congratulations to AWE Chairman, Heather Dougherty, for being one of three finalists shortlisted for the UK Champagne Ambassador competition. The first stage was far from easy with in-depth questions and essays on the subject of champagne and the area. The second stage, equally daunting,  involves presenting 4 champagnes to a panel of high profile judges on the theme of The Role of Reserve Wines in the Art of Blending, which takes place in September.

Should Heather be successful she will then go forward to represent the UK at the European competition in Epernay in October. We wish her every success.
